PERU, IN — The Miami County Community Foundation, a fund affiliate of the Northern Indiana Community Foundation, has awarded a $10,000 grant to the Miami County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) in support of the Peru Splash Pad Park project at River Walkway Park.

The new splash pad will serve as a free, family-friendly attraction in downtown Peru, offering a safe and fun place for children and families to gather and play.

“The Community Foundation is proud to support the splash pad as a fun and welcoming space where families can gather and memories can be made,” said Cheryl Broyles, Director of Development for the Miami County Community Foundation. “It’s an investment in the heart of our community.”

The splash pad is expected to open with a Family Day Grand Opening on August 30, pending final approvals.

This grant was made possible by generous donors to the Miami County Community Fund. Right now, every dollar donated to the fund is matched with an additional $2, tripling your impact. Gifts to the fund allow the Community Foundation to respond to evolving needs and opportunities throughout the county.
